Is DALLAS-CMS produced "in" Adobe® Flash?

No, it's based on a XHTML interface. The Adobe® Flash plugin is only needed when playing back the Flash media content (Swf or FLV) provided by the client. DALLAS-CMS was conceived for the management of Adobe® Flash websites. The CMS is, however, not implemented in Flash.

As a developer, how can I link the CMS to my website?

With the help of XML data, Flash developers can access the generated XML data from the server and adapt it to their Flash structure, which will then show the content from your client's database.
For connection purposes, I also deliver the Flash source code (FLA) so that the content can be both sorted and graphically represented (for example in Arrays). In this way, developers can offer their clients manageable Flash websites without needing to know PHP or database languages.

What kind of templates are included?

The system is based on a series of building blocks with a diverse array of CMS templates. This includes the standard modules from NEWS administration or nested categories and content (with or without media content such as images, videos, etc..) to complex user admin or management options for secured press or image download areas. As the producer of DALLAS-CMS and as a freelancer I would be happy to offer you reasonable rates for customized solutions.

What language support is available?

DALLAS-CMS uses the UTF8 format to help feed text content, making it possible to support nearly all languages. This enables you to create multi-lingual versions of your client's website.

The current DALLAS-CMS version 3.0 is available in German or English.
The DALLAS-CMS system admin area also has its own additional UTF-8 language library that I can have translated on request. Your clients can therefore use the system comfortably in whichever language they desire.

What does DALLAS-CMS cost?

I only charge for labor during the initial installation and adaption to your Flash website.
To do so, I ask for the essential conceptual data regarding the type and range of your Flash website/project and information regarding the content that will be managed dynamically via DALLAS-CMS.


Please also let me know the extent to which the administrative system will be connected to your client's website. I can then send you a cost estimate free of charge that will explain the scale of the technical realization.

Where can I download DALLAS-CMS?

This CMS is currently not available for download on this website. Plans are underway to provide a special administration module for software developers to use in configuration.

What are the technical requirements?

A successful installation and connection requires a connected web server with a webspace using PHP script (version 4 or highter) and a MySQL database. In general, most regular internet providers meet these technical requirements. I can also help you find provider that is compatible with these technical requirements should you need one.

How is DALLAS-CMS licensed?

You will receive an unlimited but project-bound user right for the DALLAS-CMS management system version 3.0.

The use is limited to a server license for one of your project domains (connection to a single Adobe® Flash website). You, your client, or an external programmer can then carry out any changes or upgrades necessary for the maintenance of your site.

You will need an agreement from my part should you decide to sell, transfer, rent and/or offer use of the DALLAS-CMS management system in any other way with or without monetary compensation, including shared use, for other on or offline production and/or should you distribute the program in any other way.
